Summary

The Bullitt County Fiscal Court met on January 21, 2025. It approved routine business (minutes, treasurer's transfer report, bills and treasurer's report) and heard guest presentations from Mark 12 Ministry and the Bullitt County Homemakers, who presented a check representing their volunteer hours.

The court gave second reading and approval to three rezonings from agricultural to R1 residential (ordinances 25-01, 25-02 and 25-03) and a text amendment (25-04) deleting the planned unit development sections of the planning and zoning regulations.

On spending, the court approved a $39,500 proposal from Above All Mechanical for a new courthouse cooling tower, which has a 10-12 week build time. It also approved the purchase agreement for a rented CAT drum roller for the road department, with a check of about $14,200 mentioned. Surplus lists from the road department and the sheriff's office were approved.

The court also approved a master services agreement, a notice about health care coverage that must go out to employees. It appointed Tony Roberts of Lebanon Junction to the Economic Development Authority board. The sheriff announced that all police radio channels, including channel one, are now secured so they can't be heard on phone apps. The road department plans to advertise for CDL drivers. Closing remarks covered the Mt. Washington pool grant and the winter emergency response.
