Bullitt County Fiscal Court
Meeting of May 17, 2022
Bullitt County Fiscal Court 05 17 2022
Summary
The Bullitt County Fiscal Court met on May 17, 2022 and worked through a mostly routine agenda. The court approved the treasurer's transfer report, the bills, the treasurer's report and the minutes of the May 3 meeting.
The court postponed an agenda item to its next meeting because a contract had not yet been approved. Judge Executive Summers and a magistrate also noted that about 37 homes on East Sanders Road in District Two have been denied internet service, and that a contact at Windstream is working on it.
The court approved $30 an hour pay for workers at the upcoming cleanup days. It also voted to start the process of surplusing a portion of the Collings Hill Road property, which has to be surveyed and appraised and then offered for bid.
For the road department, the court approved buying a transport truck for up to $40,000 and approved starting the bid process for a trailer. The road department said the current truck is unsafe and that breakdowns cost about $1,000 an hour in lost operations.
The court also approved personnel changes: an animal shelter attendant moving from part-time to full-time, and several EMS hires, status changes and pay changes. Members asked residents to keep a Calloway County deputy's family in their prayers, recognized EMS Week and urged people to vote on election day. The meeting then adjourned.
