Summary

The Bullitt County Fiscal Court met on September 15, 2026. It approved the minutes, the treasurer's transfer report and the bills, then heard a request to fund a skate park pump track in Mount Washington. County Judge Summers said the county cannot afford the $50,000 contribution. Magistrates suggested a smaller amount might be possible later, once property taxes come in.

The court proclaimed September 21-25 as Kentucky Safe Schools Week. A representative from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet presented the 2026-27 rural secondary paving plan: resurfacing of Clarks Lane and KY 1450 (West Hebron Road). The court voted to concur. Magistrates also asked the state to look at Bells Mill, Greenbrier and Brooks Hill roads.

The library presented its tax rate, a cut in real property from 52 to 49 cents per $100. The court gave second reading and approved three zoning changes from agricultural to R1 residential, an ordinance creating a Community and Economic Development Authority, and a hazardous waste cleanup billing ordinance. It also approved a resolution allowing the coroner to cremate unclaimed remains.

The court approved the conservative ambulance fee increase, which is expected to bring in about $1.4 million in added revenue. It also approved several EMS and road department hires, a promotion and a status change. Magistrates discussed letting uncontested zoning cases skip the second reading, and the judge said Robert's Rules would be enforced on audience comments. The meeting adjourned at 10:55.

Earlier this year, we came before the fiscal court asking for a $50,000 request, like a contribution on behalf of Bully County toward the pump track component of the project. At the time, we were given a strong indication that it could be possible. Um, and since then, we've made multiple attempts to reach out, to ask questions as we were given that direction during the last time we were here. Uh, several voicemails unanswered, several emails unanswered,

And I'm looking for any type of reasoning that could have dampened the
