Bullitt County Fiscal Court
Meeting of November 16, 2022
Bullitt County Fiscal Court 11 16 2022
Summary
The Bullitt County Fiscal Court met on November 16, 2022 (the captions give the date as 11/15). It opened with an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, then approved the treasurer's transfer report, the bills and the minutes from the prior meeting.
The Women's Club and the Sheriff's Office presented proceeds from the annual chili cook-off to the DARE program. The court then gave second reading and approval to three zone changes, each following the joint planning commission's recommendation. One was a change from agricultural to R1 single-family residential on Griffey Lane. Magistrates noted that a traffic study and drainage plan will be required at the site-plan stage.
The court approved major road department purchases: two tandem dump trucks (the transcript gives the bid as about $443,903), a Volvo wheel loader at about $189,839, and a Massey Ferguson tractor. It also approved a surplus list from the animal shelter.
The court made board appointments for the tourist commission and the extension agency. It approved interlocal agreements with Hunters Hollow/Pioneer Village-area cities and with Lebanon Junction for an EMS building, and also approved the Cornerstone agreement for a business analyst to help secure state and federal funding. A paramedic supervisor position at $26 an hour was also voted on. The meeting ended with comments on traffic problems near schools on Highway 44 and praise for the county's progress, followed by a final vote.
