Bullitt County Fiscal Court
Meeting of April 19, 2022
Bullitt County Fiscal Court 04 19 2022
Summary
The Bullitt County Fiscal Court met on April 19, 2022. It routinely approved the treasurer's transfer report, the bills, the treasurer's report and the April 5 minutes.
The court recognized a resident's 99th birthday. It was told the county's last outstanding debt will be paid off by wire transfer on May 3, roughly $2.45 million, after which more than $26 million in debt will have been retired. The court approved the payoff.
Three zoning ordinances (2205, 2206 and 2207) passed on second reading. Those cover zone changes for Marlon C. Kimball, Kenneth and Belinda Webber, and Brian Weber. The court also heard how a fire department drone with thermal imaging helped fight a wind-driven fire near Lebanon Junction.
Windstream presented its response to the county's fiber RFP. The project would bring gigabit fiber to about 6,200 more locations at a total cost of about $68 million. Windstream would invest $48 million and requests $2 million in county ARPA funds. The court plans to review it and possibly vote in May.
The court also approved poll worker pay for the primary, a clerk's surplus list, an interlocal paving agreement with Shepherdsville, and a reorganization of planning and zoning and code enforcement. It further approved the iWorks work-order tracking software, new EMS hires, the detention center personnel manual and a law enforcement firearms grant resolution, then adjourned.
