Bullitt County Fiscal Court
Meeting of November 19, 2024
Bullitt County Fiscal Court 11.19.2024
Summary
The Bullitt County Fiscal Court met on November 19, 2024. It approved the prior meeting's minutes, the treasurer's transfer report, all bills, and the treasurer's report, each by unanimous roll call.
During public comment, a resident asked for help removing dangerous fallen trees near the county road on Mount Eden Road, and Magistrate Sanders agreed to inspect and consult the road department. Another resident asked for clarification on whether non-county residents can serve on the extension council; the court promised an answer by December 3rd. A resident also asked for a new county map. Perry Cook of Mar 12 Ministries reported on how the county's $55,000 award has been used.
The court heard a fiber optic project update (45 projects, nearly 3,950 homes and businesses turned up), honored Frank for 21 years on the economic development board, and appointed Danielle Stafford to the Economic Development Authority. A report was given on hurricane relief donations delivered to North Carolina.
The court gave second reading and approved two rezonings from agricultural to R1 residential (ordinances 24-49 and 24-52). It reappointed Rick Clemens to the water advisory board and two members to the district extension board, and approved three new EMS hires.
Magistrate comments covered missing reflectors on Highway 44 after repaving (the state plans to add them only at multi-lane and turning areas) and a 40-foot right-of-way donation on Henderson Lane. The meeting moved to adjournment at the end of the transcript.
