Bullitt County Fiscal Court
Meeting of March 1, 2022
Bullitt County Fiscal Court 03 01 2022
Summary
The Bullitt County Fiscal Court met on March 1, 2022. It approved routine items (treasurer's transfer report, bills, and the Feb. 15 minutes) and honored the EMA, EMS, dispatch, road department and sheriff's deputies for their work during the December tornado response.
The Soil Conservation District presented its plan of work and budget plus a $10,000 check (state match) for dead animal removal. The court approved up to $4,000 for another cardboard dumpster at the recycling center, whose cardboard volume has grown, and a $2/hour raise for employee Ned Campbell.
The court approved contracting Ronnie Blankenship as a building inspector at $40 per inspection, and an as-needed professional engineering agreement with Jacobi, Toombs and Lanz for planning, zoning and code enforcement (no cost unless used; court approval needed above $25,000). It also approved EMS hires and promotions and an EMS organizational restructuring with pay effective immediately.
Owen Taylor and Michael McLaughlin were appointed to the county extension agency district board through 12/31/2023. After residents raised safety concerns about tractor-trailers on Rogers Road near the railroad tracks, the court approved signs prohibiting truck traffic.
Finally, the court authorized presenting plans for a new two-bay EMS station in Lebanon Junction to that city's council, at no cost to the city beyond providing the property, and then adjourned.
