Bullitt County Fiscal Court
Meeting of April 5, 2022
Bullitt County Fiscal Court 04.05.2022
Summary
The Bullitt County Fiscal Court met April 5, 2022, with some magistrates joining by Zoom because the county remains under a state of emergency. The court approved the treasurer's transfer report, all bills, and the March 15 minutes.
Three zoning ordinances got their first reading and public hearing: Marlin Kimball's request to rezone about 6.55 acres on Hilltop Road from agricultural to R1, and the Weber requests to return two roughly 10-acre properties (Meadowland Trail and Longview Drive) from R1 to agricultural. No one spoke against any of them. Second readings and votes are scheduled for April 19.
The court approved hiring a full-time paramedic (bringing EMS to 13 full-time paramedics) and a part-time seasonal road department truck driver at $26 an hour. It adopted the regional hazard mitigation plan resolution, approved the sheriff's surplus list, and approved leasing a Toshiba copier for planning and zoning.
Budget Amendment No. 3 to Ordinance 2110 had its first reading, and the jail budget was presented with no vote needed. The court also approved the sheriff's application for a federal Homeland Security grant of about $29,000 to buy rifles for deputies, which will replace borrowed rifles. The employee safety handbook is expected back for action on April 19.
