Bullitt County Fiscal Court Special Meeting 06.23.2026
Summary
The Bullitt County Fiscal Court held a special meeting on June 23, 2026 to give final approval to the 2026-2027 county budget and related items.
The court adopted the budget on second reading as Ordinance 2615. The total across all funds is $42,051,494, down from about $43.17 million, a cut of almost $1 million. The general fund is $17,311,148. The only major purchase in the budget is the Striker. The vote appeared to be unanimous, though the roll call captions are garbled.
The court also approved Resolution 2606, the annual standing order that preapproves recurring expenses such as payroll, utilities and regular vendors. This lets those bills be paid on time without coming before the court each time.
Finally, the court approved the 2026-2027 employee salary and pay rate schedule. It includes a 2.8% cost of living increase for full-time employees and a 2.7% CPI increase for elected officials. The solid waste director's pay goes from $70,000 to $75,000. The meeting then ended with a motion to adjourn.
