Daviess County Fiscal Court Meeting June 30, 2023
Summary
The Daviess County Fiscal Court held a short special meeting on June 30, 2023, with a simple agenda. Judge-Executive George Wathen welcomed Brooke Hagan as the new fiscal court clerk at her first meeting.
The court approved the minutes of the June 22, 2023 meeting and approved all claims for all departments.
The court also approved the third and final round of budget transfers for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. The treasurer explained that the budget is not increasing; money is only being moved within the budget to meet fund accounting requirements. Transfers were $16,400 in the general fund, $20,000 in the road fund, $8,000 in the jail fund, and $13,000 in the solid waste operating fund.
No one spoke during public comment. A commissioner reminded residents that the elevated boardwalk trails at Panther Creek Park are closed due to storm damage. The judge wished everyone a safe Fourth of July and asked residents to be considerate of neighbors when setting off fireworks. The meeting then adjourned.
