Meeting of June 28, 2024

I guess it's good afternoon since this is 12:00 meeting good afternoon uh we are here for our special call Court meeting and this should be a pretty brief meeting um today is Friday June 28th and welcome anyone who's here by watching um I have ear pleasure to be standing here Heavenly Father we PA this this day and we thank you for the many blessings you bestowed upon us we thank you for the beautiful weather we thank you for the guests that have come to visit us for Rome we thank you for allowing us to serve our community in R and elected officials we ask your blessing upon us we ask for your wisdom upon us as we do the work of the county and of the citizens we ask your blessing upon all those we represent you know the need we ask you bless each Jus of the United States of America to the for it stands nation

godible liy and justice for all ready one consideration for approval a minutes of June 20th 2024 Davis County F Court meeting motion to approve second motion second I have minutes for some time to review are there any additions or Corrections B all claims for all departments Mo approve second Motion in second and these are just regular bills been payable CH do we have any questions for the treasur all those in favor saying I C budget transfers for fisc year ining June 30th 2024 approve second a motion to Second Mr Johnson this is the third and final round of budget transfers as a note budget transfers do not increase the

budget we simply move money around within the budget to meet fund accounting regulations our request your approval to make the following transfers $ 1,65 in the general fund $118,500 in the jail fund and $31,000 in the solid operating fund thank you Mr Johnson any questions is this final budget is that what we're going here just a transfer this is strictly transfers close out the 2324 budget is that correct yes no that's anyone else all those in favor saying I D Davis County Administrative Code effed July 1st of 2022 I request your approval thank you any questions and comments from the Commissioners I I just want to say thank for all the work they put into it there was quite a bit to review that they actually put a lot of time into and and did research in here to make this happen thank you thank you and I and I too want

to thank the staff and yourself Mr casson for your work on this uh Jordan uh to kind of a different approach this year for our review of the admin Co we did a pretty thorough review we covered a lot of the areas um I want to thank again commissioner C Mr Hendrick Sher g j gner k ser and you of course Mr Johnson for your work on this and to your point commiss C there was a lot of work a lot of time spend on this and I appreciate it um Comics hear say i i two consideration for discussion a other be brought before the V County fisc Court there is none that I'm aware of B public comments this is part of the meeting where we allow to up the identify yourself name and address for the record and speak to any issue that's not on the agenda today we have any take I see

next comments by County FIS for commission thank you judge it is R it is hot it's probably Stay classy enjoy yourself thank yes I just wanted to make a comment about the budget I don't finalize the budget but I talked toon about the budget quite a bit regarding the animal shelter there were several items that were requested by Ashley and Dr Gray regarding the animal sh that they felt were necessary and important for the enrichment and continued care of the animals so I was told that just because we don't put it in the budget there's still going to be funds available in the general fund to take care of these issues after we look at possible improvements to this department just wanted to clarify that that is still the case it is okay also believe I understood some of the money that didn't use this year such as the $5,000 for walking Track which is yet to be put in that we could add that 5,000 and it could carry over to another 5,000 for

this year so in other words the monies can carry over that were not used for this past year so I just like to CL thank thank you C like say you know it's being and everything but we also have for coming up just ask everybody to although you're celebrating you know celebrate without blowing up the house or bur up somebody else's house be cautious be careful thank thank you commissioner c i too want to say a welcome to all our visitors here for R and uh to our fellow citizens who are going to be enjoying r as as commissioner con alluded toave yourself make our neighbors feel welcome and come back and visit another time um as commiss Cass point out July 4th is well that's we normally be our next fisal court meeting we live be back one week um so as folks as you're celebrating things day I would encourage you to be mindful of your neighbors U

there I know we don't have resources and you know this commission C for your days when you were with OPD Patrol and then in leadership over there um we don't have the resources to to take every call that comes in and folks I just ask you to be mindful of your neighbors and you know 3:00 in the morning is probably not a good time to be putting fireworks off so um anyway so let's let's be kind there uh anything else before I say we're done uh in without business being his attourney
