Meeting of October 12, 2021

we thank you for the many blessings in life continue to bless us and keep us safe in jesus name we pray amen amen i pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america and to the republic for which it stands one nation under god indivisible with liberty and justice for all uh before we start uh i mean charlotte was mentioning it here for a call the meeting to order most of you all know that i'll let you know last saturday that our our maintenance guy here david clements passed away and it was been sort of tough on all of us here at the office and i know it's really tough on his family but you know i sing david every day every morning every afternoon

and he was he was a great person do anything that i asked him to do and always looking for something to do so if we could i'd just like to have a moment of silence for david to remember to remember him thank you uh we'll go ahead and call the meeting to order uh first thing on the agenda is approve the minutes from the previous meeting with the exception of the portion pertaining to the owensboro health twin lakes regional medical center we've got a correction to make which is going to be item seven so i need a uh motion to improve them once motion by dangling thank you second next we have approved uh payment of the bills i'll make it

motion by mail second second by brian all in favor next we have approved treasurer's budget transfers as presented motion by tommy second second by kevin all in favor next we have approved jailor's payment of bills like abortion motion by brian i think second by neil all in favor all right next we have approved jailor's budget transfers as presented by tommy in second by damon all in favor all right next we have approved to the sale share of surplus vehicles the sheriff's not here so i really don't know what vehicles he's going to sell is there anything in the packet that you see [Music] all right so unless did y'all receive anything through his email yeah we can't really approve to sell vehicles that we don't know what they are so we'll skip that all right next we have approved to correct minutes from 921-21 grayson county hospital district it was listed as twin lakes regional medical

center but it should have been grayson county hospital district so we need a motion to approve that in the minutes motion by tommy second second lebron all in favor next we have update from federal fiscal core committees which we all met earlier and everything seems to be going in pretty good shape unless you all have any other comments or updates on the committee party nope nothing okay uh other new business we have um the use of arpa funds to go ahead and pay off the city of lynchfield 200 and 2033.8 cents for the police department i just need to get a motion to to do that to go ahead and pay them the remaining balance of that motion by tommy and second by damon all in favor all right next also we need to go ahead and pay the remaining balance on the uh the apartments here uh which is behind the police department also for a total of 150 000 uh need a motion to go ahead and pay the remaining balance of that also i'll make

a motion motion by brian second by damon all in favor aye any opposed question on that nothing yes uh once we pay that bill department thought what happens then does he still get all the repeal anything from it or probably we talked about it no they've me and jeremy's talk they've all they've already been uh sent a letter to evict and then we would have to declare it i'm pretty sure we'd have to declare it surplus property and and then we would uh tear it down tear them down so but they've already been sent a letter for where the process of getting it vacated they've already been synthetic am i correct jeremy yeah a fairly you know manages that yeah he's told me that he's already sent eviction notices to them all uh at that point after that notice time is up we'll have to see if there's any holdovers and have to address that through me but uh and then at that point you know we can do it because that was our agreement he could continue to yeah that was the deal yeah without having any interest right operated as long as there's

any tenants in there well right and so since we're going and finishing out the transaction then we can go ahead and move forward once we get everybody out yeah i mean as they're in like these days you can't already put people out they don't want to leave where do we stand with something like that say there's two people left out of the whole building and said they're not leaving what happened the deal with federal government of course that thing's over now so and then he is he sent those and then we get jeremy involved and then they're just curious it's the same way that they do them you know before colgate actually happened and they would be i mean they'd be removed you know it takes a little bit you've got to go through the court and get the uh get the district judge to sign off on it but then the sheriff's office would physically remove their property from right premises it's a different circumstance than say so that we're we're evicting so that we can tear the building exactly it's not like we're saying you haven't been paying your event and go through that process this is the main part of the market so we'll cross that bridge when we come to it but we can get everything in court that we need to and they'll have a hearing date yes i don't think it would be an issue

so other than that uh norman have you got your surplus vehicles yeah all right let's go back to that uh need to approve to sell sheriff's surplus vehicles what vehicles do you if you want to tell them uh 2015 dodge charger a 2008 dodge charger and a 2004 ford taurus okay need a motion to approve to sell share of surplus vehicles and you'll be selling on gov deals it's the exception of one we're going to give to uh for sale to uh cloverport pd okay all right need a motion to go ahead and sell sheriff's surplus vehicles motioned by damon exactly second by tommy all in favor all right and other new business norman you got anything jason nope i'm sure oh dang jeremy one small item uh there is i could have talked to you all about this but i keep forgetting on the courthouse building committee

there is the brick steps on the south side there's a brick missing it's dangerous we've got a cone on it when the brick people came by and worked on it the rest of the facade they would take her cone so i'd have to move it back i kind of told craig about it but do we have a brick person that can maybe fix that i just don't want someone to fall yeah we can okay okay that's it old business anybody nothing no anybody old business match over anything all right motion to adjourn motion by tommy second by damon all in favor
