prayer sure dear heavenly father thank you for this day we have together this group of christians lord we ask that you please be with each and every one of us today we ask that you be with the victims of the flooding in eastern kentucky lord we ask you to slip them up and wrap your arms around them more we ask that you uh be with us today as we make decisions that concern our citizens that we circle where we ask that each decision be a godly decision we as you protect our service men and women that are uh overseas and in a domestic lord we ask that you be with your families that should be with our officers and all of our deputies officers and troopers in grayson county and be with their families as well please forgive us of our sins and we thank you for many blessings that you give us each and every day it's in jesus name we pray amen i pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america and to the republic for which it stands one nation under god indivisible with liberty and justice for all call the meeting to order first thing on the agenda is approve the minutes from the previous meeting

motioned by tommy second by brian all in favor any opposed next we have approved payment of bills motion by neil second second by baron in favor any opposed next we approve treasurer's budget transfers has been limited promotion motion by darren second second but tommy all in favor any opposed next we have approved treasurer's monthly settlement motion by brian second by neil all in favor uh any opposed next we have approved treasurer's quarterly financial statement promotion who done that motion by darren second second by kevin all in favor any opposed next we approve payment to the board of assessment appeals and county clerk who was that brian second by neil all in favor any any opposed uh next we have approved jailor's payment bill promotion motion by tommy second second by brian all in favor any opposed next we have approved jailor's monthly settlement

motion by brian second by kevin all in fact any opposed uh we've got approved jailers budget transfers that's presented but there is no transfers so we'll move on approve the sheriff's monthly settlement my promotion uh motion by tommy secretary all in favor all right next we have uh the 2022 proposed tax uh public hearing for grayson county is anyone here for the hearing all right little ones here approved to set the grayson county's 2020 tax rate which remained the same from last year to 6.7 to 7.9 tangible real real property 6.7 tangible 7.9 so it remains the same as last year's i need a motion formation motion motion by tommy second by brian all in favor next we have accept grayson county hospital district 2020 tax rate uh 4.3 real property uh vehicle watercraft 5.0 need a motion

micromotion motion by price second second by neil all in favor next we have except the grayson county extension office's tax rate which is real property 5.8 personal property 11.2 motor vehicle 1.42 and that's it i need a motion to prove that promotion who's that kevin motioned by kevin second second by tommy all in favor any opposed next we need to approve the 2022-2023 flex fund agreement resolution we got that back so most emotions prove that second motion by darren second by brian all in favor any opposed all right next we have uh other new business and uh before we do that we've got a couple things on this business uh jeremy i'm going to let you go ahead we can do that one and then

we can we need to go into executive session and talk about some issues and i'll let jeremy tell what we're going to do but that jeremy that jeremy if you want to go ahead and go if you want to go ahead and talk tell the court what's going on water expansion yeah so i i reached back out to kevin with a few months ago when we started that came a product that y'all already invested some money in we was a little afraid that that project would run over and it is going to still a little bit early to tell for sure how much but uh i'd ask kevin to consider pitching in a little bit more for us to to to help finish that project up and then i also found out that as we took over came those systems start doing some work down there that they've got a tank that's going to have to be rehabbed that's a that that project in itself uh will be at least annual green uh that's something that we wasn't expecting to find when we ran right to when we started doing some work down

there so i came back to kevin and talked to him about those two things and asked for a little bit more help with that to finish that project that projects probably got two to three months left in it from work so it's coming along good everything's going fine had a little hiccup with a railroad getting permit for railroad but we've got that finished up this week so it's all going okay i got questions about that i'll be happy to answer him what uh when i talk excuse me so what i've talked to jeremy about jeremy woozley is uh the city of caneyville is actually still got this project correct yeah so uh we we did uh we got to a point in the project where they uh exhausted their uh that was the party foundation that we they received from us so that allowed them the option to go ahead and turn that over to us and

so as of august 1st grace game water district is fully managing caneville system we don't own it yet but we can't own it until that project's finished that we're we're we're taking on all the debt the revenue as of august 1st which it's grayson county water districts essentially today but we would actually if if the court decided to uh advance more funds that would go to the city of caneyville am i correct no it would have to come to us because it can't go in that project got you because since you all got already got ownership up we don't we don't physically own the properties but we have ownership of the revenues down there so is there 800 meters on that yeah their system is around 800 active services they have a little closer to 900 total services down there projects about around 240 or 50 uh services that that's getting replaced
