Grayson County Fiscal Court Meeting 09.20.2022 · Watch on YouTube ↗
Summary
Grayson County Fiscal Court – September 20, 2022
The Fiscal Court met and handled a full slate of routine business, approving minutes, bill payments, budget transfers, and monthly settlements for the treasurer, jailer, and sheriff without discussion or opposition.
The court adopted a resolution approving the Grayson County Solid Waste Management Plan update for 2023–2027, and approved a resolution/joint agreement with KDC (Kentucky Deferred Comp) regarding the county's 401k/IRA/457 retirement plan administrator, a required annual action.
A petition regarding road matters was noted but no action was needed since paperwork was incomplete for one item (appointing viewers for a separate petition still pending). The court also voted to move the October 4th regular meeting to October 11th due to fall break conflicts.
In new/old business, the county received its first application to designate certain roads for golf cart use from a homeowners' association, which will go to the traffic safety committee for review before returning to the court. The court also acted on a petition to discontinue a county road known as Barnett Road, a very short (0.156 mile) roadway/driveway; viewers reported that discontinuing it would cause no public inconvenience, and the court voted to discontinue the road.
Magistrate Norman Feldschneider (referred to as Norman) returned to the meeting after health issues, and the court acknowledged the passing of longtime employee Bobby Shaw, noting funeral arrangements. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn.

Miss Ruby Mercer owns a property on both sides of this pathway and just as you come up there's really yeah yeah I think yeah the viewers that went out there with the road department because they build out the form that they didn't believe it would inconvenience foreign both as a viewers went together with the road engineer and viewed uh hereby making this report uh they feel that no public inconvenience was a result from the discontinuance of this road and say the road should be discontinued signed on the 16th of August 2022. so we're just going you want us to go ahead and get a motion yes in a second to discontinue the road is that correct yes motion by Tom the second uh second time Darren all in favor all right and then
