start graciously want to take just a few moments here giving thanks for the abundance of your blessings for those simple things we tend to pass over like a beautiful day outside in the favorable weather thank you for the leaders we have in this county their support for the national day of prayer we'd ask your special blessing upon them their homes their families their livelihoods and we'd make bold and ask the guidance of your holy spirit that those things done here might be in the best interest of all it might serve as well to glorify you giving your thanks now asking your continuing blessing we pray these things in jesus name amen amen amen all right brother chester before before we say the pledge do you want to say anything about national day of prayer

doing an ordinance for operating of golf carts on county roads and they got with a county attorney and this is what he's come up with there will be much discussion over it so jeremy if you want to go ahead and do the first reading and we won't vote on anything until we have the discussion so jeremy go ahead okay well i'd love to summarize this but there's a lot of details that are important so i'm going to read a fair amount of it an ordinance relating to the use of golf carts on certain designated county roads whereas krs-189286 enacted by the kentucky general assembly authorizes governor and body of the local government to permit regulate the operation of golf carts on any public roadway within its jurisdiction subject to the requirements enumerating the statute and whereas the operation of approved golf cards on county roadways have been requested by a number of grayson county citizens and whereas the grayson county fiscal court deems it appropriate to adopt the provisions krs-189286 to permit and regulate the operation of golf carts on designated county roads with administrative elections golf carts definition is used in this

chapter of the golf cart the term golf cart means any self-propelled vehicle that one is designed for the transportation of players or maintaining equipment on a golf course while engaged in the playing of golf supervising the play of golf or maintaining the condition of the grounds on a golf course two has a minimum of four wheels three is designed to operate at a speed of not more than 35 miles per hour four is designed to carry not more than six persons including the driver five has the mass maximum gross vehicle weight of 2 500 pounds 6 has a maximum rated halo capacity of 1 200 pounds and 7 is equipped with the following a headlamps b lamps c stop lamps the front and rear turn signals the one red reflex reflector on each side is far to rear as practical and one red flex reflector on the rear f an exterior mirror mounted on the driver's side of the vehicle and either an exterior mirror mounted on the
