bless each and every one of us lord every decision we may be godly decisions lord we ask you forgive us of our sins be with our families today to be with the soldiers that are overseas and fighting for our country be with all our law enforcement and other people around the world lord in jesus name we pray amen amen i pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america and to the republic for which it stands one nation under god indivisible with liberty and justice for all all right we'll call leading the order and then we're going to skip everything and go straight to rural secondary road programs mr paul thank you thank you um hope everybody's doing well with the pandemic and all this is my first in-person meeting since last i think last year about this time so to me this has got a little bit refreshing even though we still have to wear the mask and all that stuff but it's getting better i think so anyway with the numbers but this year before i get started i've got derek dennison he's the section supervisor in breckenridge county office i've got brian gregory brian handles the maintenance

works with mark stone and tony hatcher here in the county and then to my left i've got bo warren he's a branch manager that works in e-town with me so uh with this this year i'm gonna present the rural secondary program uh you should have a handout in front of you as i've said before the program is funded by 22.2 percent of the motor fuel tax receipts these funds are allocated all 120 counties based on the five point formula that five point formula being one fifth equal among all the counties one-fifth based on the rule population one-fifth based on the road miles and then two fists based on the land area of course once that money is assigned to a county it cannot be transferred to another county so on the next handout handout i've got there we've got this year's program versus 133.85 miles of rural secondary roads but our first item on there is our cost for routine maintenance that's what we have to do the work on the roads that's 586 thousand five hundred dollars then the next item is a county judge expense that's set by statute of twenty five eighty four then the first uh rover proposing for this year's program is kentucky four

seventy nine from troutman lane which is at mile point 1.543 going to kentucky 1214 which is at mile 0.3.222 at total distance 1.679 miles looking at a estimated cost of 185 475 dollars so the next one we have on there priority number four would be kentucky 1168 from kentucky 224 which is at the zero mile point going to kentucky 720 which is at the 3.49 mile point total distance 3.491 miles estimated cost of 276 thousand six hundred fifty dollars then our last priority is uh kentucky 720 from us-62 at mile 0.5843 to kentucky 1168 at 9.637 at total distance 3.794 miles estimated cost 307. two 300 seven thousand two hundred fifty dollars total allocation to one million three hundred fifty eight thousand four hundred and fifty nine dollars for the year

any questions guys about any of this there's a good way that's a little bit that's a little bit over what we're allocated right i think that's right yes and then um did you get your flex number already uh no it's not we did but it's not a definite i don't think said it here we got some revised numbers yeah the 387 935 is what we got told the other day again this was from the initial when we first established setting up these meetings 387 935 yeah they went way down you're not the only one yeah yeah we uh our our even projected allotments went down for us too somehow another original numbers of data gains were incorrect in the secondary down from last year as well really the allocation that you all we received from last year is about the same yeah just if i could share a few other things

with you i know last year we came here and told you that kentucky 226 was going to get resurfaced of course with funding and all that with the pandemic that kind of stifled it it is supposed to get done this year supposed to be done by july the 30th okay like says left over 12 14 we're going to finish up on it we've done all the safety improvements we held off on the surfacing just because it was so late in the year trying to get a better job get it done this spring so that's that's going to be going and i think it's supposed to be done by may first yeah it should be june first now um we got the wk reef we have two rehabs on the wk ones from the 107 it's about the 111 if you will then we got another one at the 87 and a half going to the 88.4 we've got some work going on at the rougher park where we're doing some resurfacing as part of a contract in kentucky 79 in the canyonville area we'll be doing an ultra thin this would be covering up where we chip sealed a few years ago um kentucky uh is that going from caneyville to shore creek home yes yeah yeah we actually

held up from the intersection there at caneyville did we start here yeah um all of last year i'm sorry i was gonna say all of last year's rs had gotten pushed off until this year it's all been led so you should see that uh happening this year and it's all got a november 30th completion date so you've got this year's program plus last year's we're not 100 sure on the dates for this year's program what they'll be completed this year if that'll be pushed out to next year we got the bridge on watson school road done we've also got the us-62 the first phase of the widening to clarkson that's been led to construction we have yet to have a free job yet that'll probably go a couple construction seasons for that work and then last thing we got is the kentucky 88 bridge will be painted again um that again has been left to contract but we didn't have a pre-job fit on that so that's a lot of things we got going on shawwell road left to be lit yeah we don't have a scheduled date on this yet i'd ask bridget kentucky about that they're supposed to let me know i know
