Meeting of November 21, 2024

[Music] you start leading us in prayer I will father we give you thanks for the occasion that we can just pause to give you recognition it's always good when we can do that entering into a time of Thanksgiving and season of Thanksgiving we recognize that we have many things to be thankful for and we know that all good and perfect gifts come from you it's good that we live in a country and we live in a community in which we have many many things to be thankful for we're thankful for our freedom we're thankful father that we live in a time of of Peace but we know

that that has come because so many individuals have been willing to give of themselves been willing to make sacrifice and we're grateful for those that have been willing to do that it's good that we have people that such as individuals that are gathered here together tonight that are willing to lead in communities in which we live and and we're grateful father for their leadership that continue to make our communities better and we just pray for your D wisdom and for your uh direction to be upon them as they make decisions tonight that father they might be the right ones for our community to be to be good uh a good place in which we might continue to feel privileged to live in be with those that serve and those that protect us in our community and keep them safe father we thank you for our family and for our friends and we just pray for your blessing to be upon them most of all we thank you for the love that you have extended unto us through your son Jesus

budget transfers as presented there's not any and there's not any so we don't have to approve that and next we have we need to approve the lease uh for me to sign a lease property located at 1903 Elizabeth Town Road from ghe LLC uh that's where the driver's licensing office is going to be located in Old GameStop building we need a motion for me to sign that lease motion motion by Darren second by Ben all in favor now we need a motion to sublease that property to the transportation cabinet second motion motion by Brian second by Neil all in favor all right now we need approval uh renewal fee on onsolve LLC for Emergency Management C grid that's that Co grid that calls during the thunderstorms we just need to renew that I need a motion motion by Ben second by Brenda all in favor uh next we have approve the sheriff's monthly settlement make a motion motion by Neil second second by Brenda all in favor and next we need to approve incentive payments motion motion by

Brian second by Jason all in favor and we need to clarify the monthly pay for the Edmonson County Water District board members that was appointed back a couple years ago I think and they're just basically doing some placing of their minutes and so we need to put on there that they collect $500 a month am I correct Angel yes so need a motion to just clarify that motion motion by Brian second second by who was that Darren all in favor and let's see we've got uh I'm going to go to other new business and that way we can get all this out of the way new business I need to approve to accept a02 uh 28 acre land gift from Wy and Jean Jackson that is the they called or actually sent a letter in and said that they're not paying that's that piece of property out in the middle of a another piece of property that's landlocked and they said that they're not going to pay the taxes on it anymore and just wanted to give it to the County and they're done so the only way we can do that we've done this before what two or three times Jeremy I guess so we need to make a somebody needs to make a

Jason to look at that what's it say well I mean if he wants to get it printed out we can all look on have you have you looked at that already Jeremy Sol ordinance yeah we uh I drafted uh well adopted basically what I've compared it to Christian counties I thought I had Christian counties but I had one that adopted off theirs and uh it has a 2000 put setback um from a joining property um it this one has been used in a lot of counties so far and it's just about the solar panel you know these Farms that come in at least from local farmers and they put up different apparatus that but that way they can't put the panels right up against 5 foot from somebody's property line corre right and and so this this 2000 Mark is one that a lot of counties have used including Christian County uh I had heard that it had been uh challenged by one of these companies uh but I couldn't find the case before I got here this morning I was looking through so I'm not sure if that went through the because there's also the Kentucky um was it it's a public energy commission I can't remember the name of it but they also are involved in this so

I'm not sure if it got appealed to them or what but um it also requires like an 8ft fence which isn't going to cover everything but an 8ft fence and and to plant trees on the outside of it maintain those the most important part of it is once they build these say they come in I mean it's just like if we had oil and people come in to to take the oil and when they're done when the oil's dry they're going to leave all their you know the pumps and everything set up and then it's an isore for us well this builds in U whenever they're non operational for for so long they're supposed to be decommissioned and away yeah and so uh I think me and Kevin talked about it me and some other mans and then uh Ben and I talked about it uh this last week and so you want we can you just want us to make a motion to go ahead and have you give you let you draw one up or you just want to go ahead and draw it up and then maybe we could have the first reading that's the next month's meeting yeah I think that's that' be okay so we don't we don't even really need to vote on that do we for you to have it drawn up
