[Music] Lord we thank you for this day that we've had to enjoy we thank you for the weather that we're enjoying right now even though it's heat it's still sunny and nice to be out we thank you for this opportunity that we have and come together to condu conduct business for the county and we pray that we'll do it in a way that's pleasing in your sight and that we keep all citizens in mind as we make those decisions pray that you'll protect us and continue to bless us in Jesus name we pray amen pledge aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands nation under God indivisible with liy and justice for all go ahead and call the meeting to

order and Brad Mark Mark wanted me to wait until we went through this I mean we've got about 30 items on the agenda he wanted me to have you all wait until the very end okay so but I I said no iate that so if y'all could go ahead and go first hurry all get back home no no he ain't got ha down or nothing so he's fine yeah if y'all want to go ahead and go I need U Rule and secetary Road program uh if youall want to go ahead and present that judge Henderson and members of the Fiscal Court my name's B waren I'm branch manager for construction and maintenance in our liiz town section office us today we got Brad bottoms he's our chief District engineer James beum he's our section engineer that's over part of Grayson County and Mark Stone he's our superintendent for the maintenance facility here in count just to go over how Ro secondary program is funded and this Ro secondary program is funded by 22.2% of the motor fuel tax receipts these funds are allocated to all 120 counties based on a fivepoint formula that fivepoint formula

is 1 based equally among all counties 1/5th based on the rural population 1th based on the road miles and two fists based on the land area and once that money is allocated to a county it cannot be transferred to any County passed out uh packets to each magistrates and judge about our roal secretary plan just to go over that our first priority is the routine maintenance of traffic it's estimated at $668,500 our second priority is the County judge executive expense at $3,875 our third priority is an asphalt resurfacing project on Kentucky 479 from 1214 mile Point 3222 to Kentucky 224 at Mile point 8.69 for distance of 4947 miles and estimated total cost of $5 26,187 our fourth priority is a a rehearsing project on con 631 from 110 ft east of Duff Road at

Mile Point 5190 to Kentucky 54 at Mile Point 7.75 at a total distance of 2568 miles and an estimated total cost of $271,900 last priority is is going to use up the rest of our our RS funds on paper patching on Kentucky 2804 and within the 5 Mile segment between Kentucky 79 and m.0 to m.5 and that's estimated at $133,400 3192 all right else that's all for that we can answer any other questions about State Road system while we're here oh yeah open that can of worms I do everywhere else ongoing construction work whatever you have any questions uh I have along with the other magistrates got several

complaints on the 259 South project uh I live down there and I understand how road work goes uh I actually had four complaints over the weekend uh and I've talked to Chris is Chris in here yeah Chris I've talked to Chris and talked to Philip with Scotties and uh I got four complaints over the weekend that two people was pulling campers down the mood deer Cy ground and there is basee failures down there and I sent mark down there today and I said if you're not driving those roads you don't know how bad they are and they're and Norman have you been down through there in any calls where 29 South yeah oh yeah it I I mean they are and and Mark tell me if I'm if I'm wrong they're bad I mean they're they're dangerous sleep bad so Bo Bo and I actually go through that just before came here uh just to see did you go down south did you go past mccre Church Road we went all the way to the county line how' you like get one at the top of the

hill well so they are they were working on base failures today it looked like and they had patched a couple of them there are still a couple left it looks like they're they need to do but they were working on us today it appeared and they had they were just wrapping one up as we came back through and went back up towards litfield here so um so I think those are being addressed and it looks like there's a couple others to address we'll make sure those are on the radar there's about four in between there and uh uh McGrew Church Road but then McGrew Church Road is it's it's probably worse than the one at the top of the hill okay uh past lucon and because you can hit that I mean it will send you into the other lane that may be one they' addressed already because there weren't any that they must I felt with that bad driving down through there I was driving myself yeah they uple new today yeah they must they must have done it today because it did you hit it Mark I did but I think I talked to Cody about 2:00 and he was out there supposedly working on okay yeah there's two brand new patches today that were very fresh asphalt and and on and on that project what is how is that going to go I mean as far as the base goes because I

mean that Road's in terrible shape so the project does include a resurfacing at the end once everything else is done Bo and I were talking about that today and just to be UPF front with you we we may hold the refiner surfaces off for a couple more months uh instead of by the end of July as originally scheduled just to let that those widening areas sett Al out as much as possible and so that the final surface once the resurfacing is done as smooth as possible but they I mean if that happens are they going to I mean is the base failures going to be fixed yes any any existing base failures I mean we should address with the project uh if if they're not included I think we can definitely include those and that will that will help anything else that's that may pop up in the next couple months with the work we've done uh cover it up surface and you all understand how it goes I mean they call us I mean they people can't you know determine which state if they should call the state and if they should call the county and and uh but we get a lot of the calls right and uh and I mean I just have to agree I mean it's it ain't good yeah well again I I I do think some of the more serious base failures you're

talking about I believe those were addressed today or will be very shortly here if they weren't today they were moving on that way I did see a couple other Bas areas it certainly needed to be addressed before we top it off is it common practice to do the way that that's being done there's no good way to do the way that project is is was set up to be honest I mean it's to widen a road like that it's already narrow with under traffic uh there's just no good way to do that but it was it was that or nothing with the budget we had for the project um I know it's been a was the budget limited on the project it's a hsip project a saf project fund what's that Federal safety fun Federal safety funds and we actually went uh over the initial dollars that they allocated for the project but uh we all agreed it was really the only way to do anything uh to go any further would have been a complete reconstruction or all to one side would have had extensive amount of rideway much more utilities than we already had um so the dollars available for that for that Corridor was were limited based on the program it was set up in um now with that said we have done some of those similar widenings in a few of the places in the district uh ones in most recents in laroo County between hensville and Sonora uh andy8 Kentucky
