Meeting of October 19, 2023

[Music] you care to go ahead Mr Scott please our fin God we approach your round of mercy and Grace we thank you that you're here amongst us and we thank you that this is a group of men and women that uh gladly greet you and welcome you into their presence and into their decisions uh

father we are in a a nation that's divided but we are one nation under you and we know that if we return to you we will be unified once again we uh ask for your direction over each and everyone here tonight we ask a special blessing over the them uh for their Ministries and their their jobs in this community and we pray that each and every one might be positive influences and likes to those around them daily father we thank you again for this nation we live in and the freedoms that that we hold so dear and may we never uh forget those that that have died for those very freedoms be with us guide and direct to each of us in Jesus precious name amen amen thank you thank you Al to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all all right we'll call the meeting to

order and the first thing on the agenda is to approve the minutes from the previous meeting motion motion by Darren and second by B all in favor next we have approve the payment of the bills motion by Jason second by Brenda all in favor next we have to approve treasur budget transfers as present motion by Neil second by Darren all in favor next we have to approve treasur monthly settlement motion motion by B and second by Brenda all in favor uh next we have approved treasurers quarterly settlement motion second motion by Darren and second by Jason all in favor next we have to approve jailers payment of bills motion motion by Ben second second by Brian all baby all right next we have says we don't we don't have any J's budget transfers no have

none approv Sheriff's monthly settlement motion motion motion by Ben second by Darren all in favor next we have approve Sheriff's third quarter s settlement make motion by Neil second second by Brian all in favor all right next we have the approve incate pay what is that oh okay where the training for like the Sheriff's Office and our training and all that that's what that actually is so motion by Jason second by Brian all in favor all right next we need to approve the Grayson County Health Department's minutes from 9:19 to 23 motion by Ben second by Brenda all in favor all right and then then we have other new business uh Jason do you have any yeah I got the the bid you guys approved for me to bid out advertised for bid for EMR system last month and we got one bid so need you guys to approve that

it's from correct Tech they're they're out of Puka Kentucky um remote implementation is 58,300 and full service onsite implementation is 67,800 and then for the basic package it's 12200 a month after that for their support service is your recommendation go ahead and accept it yeah I would like to have the one site CU I prefer them be there putting in the system and training us how to do it and all that on site which is the 67,800 okay I'll make a motion all right motion by Darren to accept second by Brian all in favor next we have anything else Jason Ben you got anything new business Dar no sir nothing all right we've got uh one

thing we've got under new business is to we want I need a motion to approve to pay off the lease uh which it was uh prop purchased by how many years ago several years ago 2004 2004 for the property over here at uh logston Valley Park uh by using part of the proceeds uh the sale of the sheriff's office building so that would be uh should be a little less than $90,000 and uh we'll pay it with the November 16th bills is when we would actually pay it we wouldn't pay it today so and that should free us up so if that would be a possibility with the Court's approval to go ahead and pay that off I'll make a motion toay off all right motion by Brian second who second Ben yeah second by Ben all in favor all right next we have uh Kenny if you don't care uh tell update the court on what's going on some employee stuffff we' got yeah in the last three weeks or so we've had a couple guys to move on to

different positions and so forth and found different jobs U so that's going to leave us short a couple uh and we we come tonight to see if we can get approval to uh to to hire a couple guys to replace those uh we we interviewed uh I think four we picked up the two that we thought was the best fit for the positions uh there's a Charles Bradley and uh Riley Higden uh the Higden boy is a young boy uh seem like he's he's uh motivated to learn the the older gentleman has been in this type of work for sometime so uh we was waning to see if we get approval to hire those to replace the two that's left motion by Ben to go ahead and fire these two and second by Brenda all [Music] in all right old business buiness got

nothing yeah uh Brian won't you tell them uh then I'll I'll try to I'll try to fill in the blanks give because right well what it is is em county is going to go ahead and lay this water line from top of bar Creek which is Jack Jeff coppers all the way to SMY City they voted to to borrow money and put it in and put a pump station in so they can buy water from grace and County okay this has been going on for close to a year I guess they are going to do now yeah the that is really going to help the edmanson County Water District issue is uh where they've been we've been out of water several times down there uh they was going back and forth we' actually went to the uh the uh the foundation board with the hospital to try to because they're doing some Grant loans and that type stuff Grayson County Water District went to them long story short if I'm right tell me if I'm wrong that evedon county has finally decided that Evans County
