just ask your blessings on our country on our state on our County that everything we say and do here today would be to glorify you just be with our families uh be with our country just uh we just lift you up and pray Praise You In everything we say and do in Jesus name we pray amen am amen I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible liy and justice for all all right well thanks again uh for joining today we'll go ahead and review the agenda real quick and um it seems like a fairly simple agenda today anyway uh we'll approve the last uh meeting minutes um we have a couple of present uh presentations today and um time for any citizens concerns or comments um then we'll go straight to the consent agenda I'll go through those items and explain those before we vote

and after that we should should have uh some time for some comments and we'll wrap it up so that's our agenda um I I do the one thing I wanted to to kind of bring out right now is that we are in the middle of um a a budget process the next fiscal uh year and um and are um as painful as it is but we will plan to present the budget uh at the next meeting in April for and that will be our first reading of that budget so that's our plan right now and U hopefully we'll be able to meet that that deadline okay that's really all I have on that so next on the agenda is to uh approve the Harden County Fiscal Court March 12th 2024 minutes is there a motion to approve so move second second uh any discussion I'm hearing none we'll have a roll call Squire clim yes Squire hex yes Square Muse yes Square Pennington yes Square Salzman yes Square Thompson yes Square Whitehead yes scar Yates yes judge tall yes motion

passes all right next on our agenda is uh department and office reports presentations uh let's start with EMS Mark Peterson as our director good evening good evening evening I have the January and February activity report for EMS looking at call data for January we made um 1,623 total responses for the for the month which is up about 53 compared to January of 2023 collections uh we collected $495,000 which is up also about 35,000 from from January of 2023 before we talk too much about February February was kind of an interesting month for us um for those that don't know Baptist Health hardens EMS service went live with transfers on the 5th of February um and we were kind of curious to see how that's going to impact us uh we don't have a great picture of it um but you can see right away that our responses went down significantly in February uh we made

1,213 responses in February and only 32 of those were transfers um as as of right now we're averaging about seven transfers a week um from either Baptist Health Harden or some of the outlying um long-term care facilities comparison uh collection comparison for February we made over a million dollars in February so that's why it's kind of hard to say exactly how that's going to hurt you know hurt or help us um but uh that's Pro as far as I know that's our best month in Revenue ever um and there's a lot of things to that we had some increases to our monthly allotment for the house bill eight money uh we had about a $34,000 increase in that money that comes into us every month um and we've also been working very diligently with judge tall on some process improvements as far as our um patient care reporting and and stuff like that so I think that helps explain that big jump in Revenue right there I just wanted to say congratulations on a a fantastic month on Revenue it's it's a big step and there's been a lot of hard work that's gone into that so we'll see if the trend

continues but U it's a every trend has to start someplace right so that's a good we're looking promising I don't know that we'll make a million in March but I think we'll finish ah ahead of what we're exped so for uh fiscal year to date we've made a total of 12,684 responses um 10,672 of those have been 9911 or 911 type responses and 2012 of those have been transfers and then this is our collection data for fiscal year today so far as of the end of February we've made 4,263 380 which puts us up um just shy 500,000 from the year before at this time I'll take any questions now good job on collections thank thank you thank you happy to see that doing a great job thank you thank you very much Mark what do you relate that to that that's almost double yeah I I think a lot of it is um our process improvements that we put in place um we're completing our run sheets more timely which gets them to build more timely um and you know some of the money we're getting from the state has
