[Music] good afternoon welcome the april 27th meeting of hardin county fiscal court i remind you if you have cell phones that please turn them off or put them in the vibrate mode i will begin with the roll call if you would miss dolly clam here wiseman here thompson here ronnie goodman here king here judge barry here easter here doug goodman here william here mr clem is going to lead us in the invocation and mr ronnie goodman and the pledge if you'll please stand pray please our most gracious and loving heavenly father we thank you so much for this beautiful day that you've given us and father for all the blessings in it and father today we just especially want to lift up the elden family and father we just ask that you give dennis and his mother and the entire family special peace and comfort in the passing of his father and her husband and father we

want to lift up our nation and all those men and women that go to work every day to protect us i want to be with them and protect them and be with their families as they wait to return the follow as we go through this meeting today be with us lead us and guide us and direct us and all the things we say and do these things i ask in your son in jesus name amen amen please join me in a pledge pledge to the flag of the united states of america and to the republic for which it stands one nation under god indivisible with liberty and justice for all [Music] first up this afternoon is informational items we have with us today mr paul sanders the chief district engineer from district 4 of the transportation cabinet thank you judge afternoon everybody it's hard to believe a year has already passed but here we are again for our rural secondary program you have some handouts there in front of you i'll start off with the rural secondary program

which is funded by 22.2 percent of the motor fuels tax receipts these funds are allocated to all 120 counties based on a five-point formula that five-point formula being one-fifth equal among all counties one-fifth based on the rural population one-fifth based on the road miles and two-fifths based on the land area and of course once that money has been uh allocated to a county it's not transferable to another county so i also have another hand out there for hardin county for this year our first priority is number one there is the routine maintenance and traffic funding that's and 703 thousand two hundred dollars our second is the county judge expense set by statute which is twenty five hundred and eighty four dollars then our first priority for this year is kentucky 1538 starting at kentucky 1357 at the zero mile point going to the railroad crossing at to a mile point 2.177 that total distance being 2.177 the anticipated cost is 177 905 dollars our next priority number four there is kentucky 2802 going from kentucky 361 at the zero mile point

going to kentucky 447 which is at the 2.148 again 2.148 at total distance the anticipated cost being 215 302 then our fifth priority for the year is kentucky 1375 from blue ball road at mile point 17.118 to kentucky 920 which is at mile point 19.680 the total distance is 2.562 miles the anticipated cost being 210 712 dollars our sixth priority for the year is kentucky 253 going from kentucky 86 at the zero mile point to kentucky 1357 which is at the 3.153 mile point at total distance being 3.153 and the anticipated cost of it being 251 526 dollars then our seventh priority is kentucky 222 there's an existing joint there at the 6.17 0 mile point going to us 31w which is at the 6.751 mile point that total distance being 0.581 miles long with anticipated cost of 153 599

then our eighth priority for the year is kentucky 1135 from kentucky 61 at the 4.035 mile point to kentucky 210 at the 5.047 total distance is 1.012 miles the anticipated cost of that being 88.048 miles or thousand dollars sorry then our ninth priority is kentucky 2199 at the breckenridge county line at the zero mile point going again to the breckinridge county lane on the other end that mile 0.348 the total distance is 0.348 miles long the anticipated cost being 36 426 and our 10th priority for the year is on kentucky 210 at the 0.404 to the 0.13 mile point we're going to install some guard rail as part of the program this year then anticipated cost being 15 121. and then our 11th priority for the year is kentucky 22-13 we're starting at the 0.685 mile point going to the .858 mile point and again installing guardrail at that location with the anticipated cost of being twenty one thousand four hundred fifty four dollars the total cost of the

program for this year is one million eight hundred and seventy five thousand eight hundred seventy seven dollars so pretty good pretty big program for considering funding and everything quite a number of projects yes any comments or questions from sanders thank you thank you thank you just to mention last year's program because of budgetary concerns and all that a lot of that got held up or deferred last year so last year's program was just let in december of this past year so it's all been let the contract has a specified completion date at the end of the year to date i have no idea when this will get out and it'll be completed but just just so you know okay we have a lot of road work left to do but this 12 plus sure helps appreciate it sure sure anything else you'd like to share um sure for sure um some of last year's program our fdo 5 program which is another pot of money for resurfacing we did have logs in parkway which was set up last year because of the budgetary he got put off till to this until this year so you should see that uh happening

also 84 it was deferred from last year along with kentucky 220 in the from wilson road going towards the ronnieville area it was deferred also 1600 from patriot parkway going to the roundabout was deferred so you'll see that also this year one that we did get done which was late in the year last year was 31w near west point one to one to come up this summer will be the from around the south end of the courthouse going to the wk parkway where we've done the lane diet that'll be done this year also and then there's a 62 resurfacing project that'll also be done near that'll end right there at all tell so got a lot going on and uh that's a good thing it certainly is 62 project does that where does that start at first starts the one it starts just before the where the two lane goes to the four lane it starts about right there and then comes into town [Music] and then it comes back to all tech yes

it comes from there to the all tech yes any other questions we certainly appreciate the good job you and your staff do for us every day thank you thank you for working with us i appreciate it all right we'll move to department of elected office reports first up we have the county coroner dr lee afternoon judge and uh court you could see all of you we got a first quarter report this time extra month in their month uh january february march and uh yes we offset robin so january you see you report the total cases 93 cases and uh only had one accident that that month that's kind of unusual 88 natural deaths you see in the says four suicides only three are mentioned there but there should be two gunshot wounds if you look on your chart that just says as the one but there were two gunshot wounds for suicides and then one overdose
