Magistrates Yates and Whitehead spoke at length against classifying dispensaries as industrial rather than commercial uses, while others supported the ordinance to meet the deadline; Magistrates Muse, Saltzman, and Yates voted no.
The court also approved a budget amendment adding about $16 million in revenues and expenses, and passed a large consent agenda covering financial reports, personnel resolutions, surplus equipment for auction, a rescinded ambulance purchase (redirecting funds toward two new ambulances and a truck), acceptance of a donated bus for mass-casualty transport, a insurance grant application, and a refuse collection bid.
During citizen comments, a resident praised the road crew's work on Constantine Road. Magistrates closed with reminders about upcoming community events including River Days, the Vine Grove Bluegrass Festival, Rineyville Days, a rabies clinic, and voter registration deadlines ahead of the general election, before voting to adjourn.
