Meeting of February 14, 2023

questions [Music] we call this meeting of Ohio County Fiscal Court to to order on this fourth day of February 2023 and 5 PM uh we have Brother David Coleman here he's going to come up and lead us in a prayer and a pledge to the flag little spot is please Lord we just want to thank you for this night Lord we thank you for the magistries we thank you for the Church of Executives we thank you for each and every one officials being in here and we just give you the praise Lord and we ask you in all things that give us an understanding of your business and The Business of the Ohio County family Lord and we just asking the county and the families just to come together as one Lord and be on one Accord and thank you for blessing us Lord in this city and then and then this uh courtroom right now in the in the matter of what you have in store for us tonight and uh presidents and governors

Lord in Jesus mighty name we pray amen Justice next thing we're going to go a little bit about our border here but I got a presentation to make and uh I'd like Jason and uh yeah Jackson and gender would you can you come up here foreign [Music] Elementary because they had the highest amount of donations to the Ohio County blood drive of anyone in the area and we're very proud of that we want to give them that

recognition foreign [Music] foreign next we have the minutes of the January 24th meeting I need a motion to approve I make a motion to approve the January 24th minutes I'll say most magician bullet second by Paul Bennett is there any discussions Corrections or

additions the discussion correction traditions on Facebook um before you you have the bills claims payments and transfers uh we would like to have a motion to approve that some move for discussion I'll second for this motion by more a few seconds with Jason Bullock uh discussion what is this lgea transfers or repaid loan 300 000. that's where we had the pack so I had to track for last year it's just now well I had to pay it last fall so I had to transfer 300 000 out of our emergency fund into there and now then I've gotten the money back and I'm putting it back any other questions or discussion is actually what I'm supposed to ask you if there is none uh all in favor say aye uh the polls

2023-18 Rough River flood inundation mapping project Charlie you got anything to say on that yes sir we uh we got a grant from dog and the Farm Bureau last year to to put a river gauge out here in Chrome or crawling foot out here in Hartford at the ramp and we need some more money so I got with dlg and they're going to finish paying it for the next five years I think it's like 57 000 I think and so it's free money for us is this a pass through then what are what are they doing with it again it's a river gauge out here on the city Hartford right here on the highway yeah it tells elevations for the downstream Farmers all them that really help them out when they're farming yeah I was surprised just how much they do use it do I have motion so my motion to learn more for you second with Jason Bullock to prove resolution 20 23-18 uh is there any discussion or more questions for Charlie being none all in favor say aye opposed like sign motion carries

um we have resolution 2023-19 it's a house bill money for the cold Severance project we have to prove the uh that resolution to be able to put the money where it's supposed to go and start with did I hear a motion what are we all what project are they authorizing for the 173 316 right here oh okay yes okay all right so you make a motion yes most of the Jason Bullard second by Beau Bennett is there any discussion any discussion being none all in favor say aye [Music] I'll pose like Sam that motion carried thanks I asked when I met with all the Mayors and some right after uh before the first year I guess I met with all the new layers and

all the mayor's periods and we talked about we wanted to call the inner local agreement with all the cities to do what we exactly do now we share equipment we help each other when we can but we need this interlock agreement to make it all legal Justin wrote it but the city of Beaver Dam has already passed that I like the motion that we accept the resolution 23 2023.20 for the beaverdamental local agreement motion with Jason Bullock and just add an emotion the judge um to execute that agreement now the judges might understand what I wrote when I when I wrote this that it was the county supplying as as may be needed the city equipment materials are such if if the need arises does it need to be reciprocal then yeah so if the court would approve just the amendment to the interlocal agreement indicating that it would be reciprocal in nature then they could prove the resolution the judge to sign it with the addition that the city also could Supply to us I would just have to add that because we have a second yeah
