Our first order of business

is to approve bills and claims. Um, before we do that, there was a correction we need to do or in the minutes, I'm sorry, in the minutes. I'm looking up. Uh, there is a correction we need to make. Um, when we approved the minutes or we had the minutes rolled up last time, the bile digesttor ordinance that we had in there, when we wrote the bile digesttor ordinance in May, there was a number 25-5. What we do is we put the year and then the next ordinance line. That's how we do. So an ordinance if it's next one it's five six. Well when we put this one up we never did pass the ordinance and we pass an ordinance in between. So what we need to do is make it 25-6 instead of 25-5 because there was an admin change ordinance in between. So the admin change was 25-5. approved with that. — So, uh we need to approve the minutes with this uh approval. Says approve the October 14 25 minutes with the amendment of a change to the bio digesttor ordinance to 2025-6

So, um, items five and six, resolution, uh, 2520 is a resolution allowing the execution of certain agreements and lease documents. And number six is a rental agreement for the North Fire Station. I think we kind of feel like at this point with two people gone in that situation and there were a couple questions. Uh, we're just going to table those to next meeting. All righty. I have a uh in my district, district two, a waterline extension I'd like to add to the list somewhere. It's on your back page if you'd like to look at it. U about five or six years ago. I don't really know exactly when. Um Horton Spurs in my district, we extended that road by about 1,400 ft. Uh we never did add the water line from where the road took off into the extension. So, what we're wanting to do is extend that water line. There's three people to live there now. Uh, one's going to build a house within the next couple months, and her daughter looks to build a house in the next uh within the next year. So, potentially six people on a water line. Um, the extension is 1,400 somewhere on here 1,400 and a little

over 1400 foot. And I would like to add the Horton Spur water line extension to the water line. You need a motion? — Yes. — So move. If you would like to come and talk to us about No One Fights Alone. And thank you for the shirts. So, I have like a couple notes because there's a lot to talk about because a lot has changed. So, um for those of you who do not know me, my name is Katie Abner. Um I work at Commonwealth Community Bank. That's mostly where everybody knows me from, but um years ago I was on the Relay for Life committee and you guys know that we do not have that any longer. Um me and Sonia was talking we that started in 2002 I believe it went to 2019. So we no longer have relief for life and that was

through the American Cancer Society and that was at the high school. If you guys don't remember you know we would walk all night and we would raise money for those that had cancer. We would do different events throughout the year raise money. We would take all that money and then we would send it into the American Cancer Society. At that time, our office was in Owensboro and we had like a a district representative that would help us take care of that money. I was treasurer in that for a little while and I don't know if there just wasn't a lot of interest maybe and that's why it kind of fizzled out. I'm not really for sure. I wasn't in that at the end of the 2019 era. So, fast forward um I met Brandy Roth Gerber. So, she is a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed in 2023. Her sister, which is her caregiver, Christy, uh she was doing some fundraising for her because, you know, even when you have insurance, cancer's expensive, you know, back and forth to Nashville, back and forth to Owensboro, it's expensive. Um, she was doing some fundraising and she got everything pretty much paid for and she thought, "Hey, I've got this money. I want to help somebody else." she got a hold of

me, Britney Kill, um Stacy Abbott, you know, Stacy's daughter. She lost her battle in um I believe 22 maybe. And uh we just got a bunch of girls together. My father, he is the survivor. He was diagnosed in09. My uncle Tony Everly, he lost his battle this year. We knew for eight days and he was gone. You know, it was it was very quick. Everybody's been touched by it. So, we created the nonprofit um No One Fights Alone in Ohio County or NOA to be short. So, um it's a nonprofit and we are a 501c3, but we want to provide aid and assistance to anyone in Ohio in Ohio County that needs aid. Um some of the things that we've done would be um gas cards, food cards, hotel stays. You know, we we aren't handing out cash to people. We we've really sat down and thought about this. Uh there is an application process. We have a cap. You know, we're only going to help certain times, certain amounts. you know, we don't want to be taken advantage of,
