Meeting of June 14, 2022

[Music] call this meeting oh i came fiscal court to order on this uh 14th day of june 2022 at five o'clock i'm going to ask sam small to lead us in a prayer and a pledge to flag about it please graciously heavenly father lord we just come to you tonight lord we just ask that you would just watch over this meeting and the proceedings and that everything we do here be pleasing unto you or we just ask that you and guide us in our decisions we make lord we ask that you be with this county in the future and everything that has to do with what we can do we just ask that you would bless all those that's here and all those that are not i pray these things in jesus name amen amen i pledge allegiance to the flag of the united for which it stand

uh i'll explain that let's do the appointment first and i'll explain [Music] uh i will point to the library board for the term specified deborah phelps russia johnston yes count yes morpheu yes small yeah yes yes and while we're on that line where we on that line new law has been passed there's been a new law passed that effective the first of the year we're going to have a more say so in the floor departments for the library basically we have the right to reject the board of appointments that they send us and we can appoint our own after two tries with and this uh this uh we had to implement this resolution to allow us to use that uh system so is that all live so the libraries are all taxing districts

libraries libraries count main motion like most blood cam second but joe barnes any further discussion can i ask one question on that real quick you sure can why why is that not all taxi districts why is it just uh what was the reasoning that's the general assembly yeah okay i just i didn't know what we already did yeah that thing that's that's probably the best answer most of you know this was done by the state then yeah okay i just didn't know because i knew at one time they talked about all taxing districts and why they just singled out this is really watered down from what we asked for uh or what the judge executives and the manchester association asked for but it is a start and i believe also which is not in this resolution it's law i believe we have to prove their tax increase if it's overcompensated right but anything overcome anything compensates just like us it just kind of goes all right yeah that's that's i think david i'm going to take care of
