Meeting of November 18, 2025

[music] call this meeting OI physical court to order on this uh 18th day of November 2025 at 5:00 pm. Uh we're going to ask uh brother Andy Goens to come forward and lead us in a prayer and a pledge of flag. [snorts] — Thank you, judge. Uh for our prayer, let me read from first Thessalonians uh chapter 5 16 and 8 through18. It says, "Rejoice always. Pray constantly. Give thanks in everything for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." And in the season of giving thanks, let's just uh thank God for all the many blessings that we do have. Pray with me. Father God, I thank you so much for your grace and your mercy and your peace. And Lord, that's what I pray for over this meeting. Your peace, your wisdom, your discernment uh to these officials who guide us here in Ohio County. Lord, give them your wisdom. And Lord, just grant them the the the the gift of discernment as they deal with the the different issues that face our our county and our and our needs. Lord, thank you for men and women who are mindful of the needs

of those around them, the the least of these. And Lord, let us remember that you have given us much as we have the opportunity and the blessing to give to others. So God, just watch over this meeting, protect it, provide for it, and Lord, just lead them making great decisions. And I ask these things in the name of Christ. And something to praise a praise report on December the 2nd uh at the Sloan Convention Center and the Bowling Green. There'll be the graduates of the uh road masters and road scholars for the district two highway. And we have three graduates there. They're Jared Allen, Wayne Audrey, and Dakota Gil. So

— the uh second reading of it is done. Um, we left it out of the motion when we accepted the bid of Jave to do the Shere Bridge. We forgot to authorize me to sign the contract with them. But I mean, if you could you could probably pass some type of resolution that certain actions uh would allow or automatically permit the judge or treasurer to execute checks or contracts if you — Well, like there's times that we had to come back because we left that out and we forgot, you know, even with the uh the radio station or whatever when he bought that we had to come back to a special called meeting which — which the same thing's happened here with this uh

— Yeah. I mean, but it hasn't held up anything. This one hasn't. — Okay. I mean, I don't care, but that I hate holding up stuff when really in the motion, we really that's what we meant for the dude as the treasurer to write the check. We just didn't add it to the emotion. But I don't know. That's something to think about. — If you wanted me to if you wanted me to probably come up with something, I could maybe maybe get you something for some type of areas that you commonly uh vote on, but it's up to you. — Okay. He just right now it's not held up anything. They're saying no. So I just didn't know because I don't want I'm thinking there's a lot of things we have motion and we just forget that.
