Meeting of June 22, 2021

[Music] call this meeting of ohio came fiscal court to order on june 22nd 2021 at 5 00 p.m i'm going to ask josh wright to lead us in a prayer and a place of flesh he does pray dear heavenly father we just come to you again we thank you for all you do for us and all you do for our community and we ask you to be with these leaders here tonight as they make decisions and may they make them in a way that would be pleasing to you and just forgive us when we fail you and i just pray if somebody's here tonight and don't know you that they'll come to know you before it's too late and forgive us of our shortcomings amen amen i pledge allegiance of the united states of america and to the republic for which it stands one nation under god indivisible with liberty and justice for all before you

have the minutes of the june the 8th meeting as well as the special call meeting on june 14th i'll make a motion approved motion by sam small i'll second it second with jason bull is there any questions corrections or additions [Music] questions corrections or additions on the menus is that for regular and special calls yes yes uh no questions all in favor say aye all right post like sign the motion carries before you have the bills claimed payments and transfers including electives major motion to accept bills transfers motion by jason bullock with the light list i'll second i'm just going to land something check the joe bond and we get gold from shovel bait [Music] that was turned into for the pba funds i don't have an invoice turned in

no more next year when we have that any other questions on the bills and claims thing nine all in favor say aye all right like sign the bills and claims are paid uh judge i'd like to make a motion to pay the golden shovel for their maintenance fee it was 706 d1 and some change when the invoice comes in here second what's the golden show that's that internet thing that we've proven yes any any questions thing now don't please say aye opposed like sam that motion passed as well uh we want to man the standing orders for the sheriff's maximum salaries for the deputies and assistants that's because of the increase at the mid mid calendar year which would be first of the fiscal year right the cpi cpi race yeah

motion blur cam second second but larry morpheus any discussion being that i'm favorite say aye all right opposed like sign oh she cares uh and and the same with the county clerks i'll make the most of the except the county clerk uh i'll second motion by jason bullock second but joe barnes any discussion but you just might want to tell them why we do that because their budget starts at the first of the year it's called an amendment because we set one for the first of january and then now that it's changed at the mid of their year it's amendment to it whereas you'll see in a minute on the counties it's not an amendment it's the origin because ours is we're on on the fiscal year the retirement also changes july 1 so i have to account for that post like sign that motion carrier okay now then for everybody else it's the it's the original setting of the annual compensation schedule for all of the other employees reflecting the cpi

so most of larry kansas thank you secretary markey is there any discussion or questions any discussion or questions they know pose like sign motion carries this next one is going to be a tiny bit confusing so i'm going to let ann explain how this came about when we had the first reading of the budget on april 27 we sent it up the to the state with full expectations to get it back within two to three weeks so we went ahead and scheduled the second reading for may the may may 25th well they didn't get the budget back to us until june 9. so they're requiring us to have a second second reading just as a matter of paperwork so it'll reflect after the date that they approved it even though they did they they didn't change the change no here's a copy of the paperwork if you don't want to see it i'll make a motion mr formal didn't yes motion by jason bullock second but joe bond any

borrowing i don't have a line item for vehicles in my budget and i have to come and ask you for those and i know it seems repetitive but uh we had a vehicle that was uh in an accident back in march and it totaled the vehicle out everybody when i got to she was operating a charger and went off the roadway hit a tree just a a mistake you know driving nothing uh nothing that we took any action on uh just an accident i've got about four crown victorias that are ready to sell we've got most of those surplus through the court i've given you an estimate about what i think they'll bring we were able to buy the salvage charger back i bought it for 200 i think is what we gave for it and we hope it'll turn over some money maybe bring three thousand we hope the engine looked like it was still good and transmission
