Meeting of May 26, 2026

Call this meeting of Ohio County Fiscal Court to order on this 26th day of May uh 2026 at 5:00 p.m. I'm going to ask brother Josh Wright if he will to lead us in prayer and the pledge of allegiance. — Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we come to you this afternoon. We thank you first and foremost for all your many blessings and they are many, Father. We're thankful to live in a country where we can come and and freely assemble in a public meeting like this, Father, and we and we're thankful for those that we recently remembered during the Memorial Day holiday that went and fought and gave the ultimate sacrifice to allow us these rights. Ask you be with this meeting today, Father, and bless it and that every decision made here today is in the best interest of all those citizens of Ohio County and made in a way that does nothing but give you glory in the process. And uh there may be one motion come from that. Uh and I will just go ahead and ask for that at this time. — Okay. Um I'd like to make a motion on behalf of the uh Ohio County Landfill Committee uh that I'm going to make a motion to approve a consulting agreement with Jason Anderson for the rebuild of a possible landfill franchise agreement. — I second. — Do I have a second? uh the 15 thousand. We've got a little uh modifications and possibly this consulting agreement uh in relation to some of the issues we've had in obtaining uh PE and other other possible experts. Um we have some closure issues with respect to this lease and franchise agreement um that we need to make sure that are correct. Um and so I appreciate the motion, but I think it's needed for uh a number of possible litigation purposes as far as the closure of the uh the last lease if they weren't to renew it probably they — Okay. — Do I have a second? Let's go to Larry Murphy first. We'll go that way this time. — I just want to make a motion that people at the road department add $50 to their shoe allowance. It's mandated they have to get steel-toed boots, and they're getting 150 now, but

they can get good pair for 200. — So, we'll change that amount from 150 to 200. — Yeah, effective when the new uh budget starts. — Okay.
