on the health insurance proposal that we have to approve every year for the 2023 2024 year I'm going and explain this to you the health insurance did go up this year um the actual plan itself none of it has changed other than the cost of it so you've got a a couple of options you can leave it the same right now we have a free plan you would have the option to have the employee pay five dollars a week I don't that's up to you all whatever you all want to do motion to prove it as is or to go back and not charge employee anything but this is just a little step into it and we know uh my biggest desire has always been to have one free business for an employee employees where we've gone up as high as we go on deductibles to make the Cuffs down and now first to continue to maintain this long term we need to get started with that small contribution

commission for over five dollars a week I'd like to see if it was possible to keep it like it is because benefits is what get across your uh good employees I think we may could handle it another year but there's going to be eventually a time that it won't be a peaceful today it's easier to start small what what is the current cost to the county well the for our new rates for 23.24 we paid ten thousand not well for 23-24 it'll be ten thousand nine hundred fifteen dollars per employee we have 97 full-time employees so that's one million 58 000. 700. so what would the savings be it if we were to collect five dollars a week for those 500. well it's not just that one five dollars because if you can stay there how it how it's presented you have each category that went up some so I think in the judge looking at it do you let that one category be free and then everybody else

have to pay or what were your what was your thinking on that you see the two yellow columns there Kenneth said if you don't do anything I'm repeating what he said he could say no if he didn't say this but he said the feathers start small then to wait until we absolutely had to do it and then come down with a big big amount the annual costs are the is the HSA dollars built through that annual cost yes it is [Music] the basic plan has a two thousand dollar HR card that goes with it and for the most part I think most of our employees it works well for them um I was 2007. yeah yeah I always whenever we have an employee come in I always use myself and my husband if you've got my husband goes to the doctor for three months he takes has some health issues so he needs to be on that enhanced plan but for people who don't have to go a lot the basic plan works very well

and then the anthem the enhanced plan has a 500 card built in that employees can use for lab work x-rays 500 towards an MRI and that cost Kenneth is built in there too we kind of looked at originally looked at and I talked thing a little bit she was thinking like ten dollars and because we did go like that yeah basically five dollars would be doable and you could probably even we could probably maybe take it one more year ahead but it's getting it's a eight percent increase was a pretty big increase yeah well I'm throwing it out there for somebody to make a motion on doing it one way or the other because of uh I actually thought it was I thought it was nautical my first desire but I think it's going to be impossible for us to continue to have the one free plan which has always been my goal and we've done it for 12 years but I don't know that we can do it for this 1310 but during them times we we

write the deductible several times to keep the costs what do we say the five the five dollar what is the difference between can we is that 25 000 savings a year is kind of what we're just you just I thought maybe we meant to be five for everybody yeah but they were saying I don't are you asking if we just that one and then everybody else everybody else's would go up or that's everybody what makes the most sense to me is if you're covering the boy and the rest of it's on them that'll that'll cover everything else I would now are you saying that the same for the enhanced plan because the employees do pay something on the enhanced plan now yeah yeah and I would think probably well that would just be the difference on that one just did the hand plan I don't because they're they're choosing to pick that anyway so you go ahead and do that and then it's zero at the the regular plan so how much difference are we talking
