Meeting of January 13, 2026

call this meeting on fiscal court to order on this 13th day of January 2026 at 5:00 pm. Uh, I'm gonna ask brother Jeremy from the Beaver Dam Methodist Church to come to the mic and lead us in a prayer and a pledge to the flag. Let us pray. Gracious and merciful heavenly father, we thank you for this time together. Lots of decisions are made in this room and God, we pray for wisdom. wisdom in making them, wisdom in uh being able to be humble in conceding if we've lost debate. God, we pray that decisions made are a reflection of you. That these aren't uh decisions based on ego or our desires, but based on who you are and who you want us to be. Be in this meeting. Justin to uh explain what we need to do here on this uh hospital and the public facilities corporation. As you know, we're doing large uh expansions at the hospital uh a lot of them and uh we and we have a lot of uh uh paperwork and procedures we go through for for that hospital loan. So, u Jason, you want Justin, you want to tell us what we need to do? — Yeah, just just two things today. If the the court will consider it, we're going to need to meet both as the court, but also as the Ohio County Public Facilities Corporation, which is uh the reality is under. So, this would be a dual meeting of that. That's what our consideration will be. And this is on the the certain American rule bonds that the hospital is is renewing. Uh, first what I'd like you to do if if you'd be inclined to do it is pass the ordinance. It' be 2026-1 and that relates to the bond and they just need that passed uh for a first reading. I think I sent it to all of you. You should have it. Just need a motion and a second if you would.

— They're using the county's bonding authority. — Yeah. what they're doing is pretty much almost like a refinancing and um I don't know if some of it may be new, but it's similar to what we passed. Uh you know, time flies. It may have been a few years ago. — Are they just refinance and what we did a couple years ago? You said similar. — It it seems like it could be a combination of both. Okay. — Um but u it's $10 million, I think. — I'm fine with that. So we didn't change the meaning. — Well, what you're going to do is you're first voting uh if you would as far as you're taking the motion as the court first for the ordinance and then the public service resolution. — I'll make that motion. — This would be on behalf of the court here.
