Meeting of February 11, 2025

[Music] call this meeting o c Fiscal Court to order uh on this February on February 11th 2025 at 5:00 p.m. I'm going to ask Justin count our County attorney to listen a prayer and a pledge the flag we can bow our heads uh Lord first off and and foremost of we thank you for all the blessings that you've given us um whether we realize all those or not you know we know that you have blessed us now we ask that you be with the magistrates and the judge today and all those in attendance and give them wisdom as it as it relates to different issues that that come to Ohio camp and we also ask that you be with all those that are sick as we have had a lot of sickness certainly that has gone around and be with those that may have been suffering and as in in your name we pray amen amen to of the United States of America and to the repic which it stands one nation under God indivisible liy and justice for

[Music] before you have the minutes of the January 28th 2024 me meeting we need a motion a second approve motion second motion by Michael McKenna second second by Jason Bullock is there any discussion Corrections or additions on amendments you I've got a question question we had a uh discussion on some money being give took out of another account and I thought it should be in the minutes but it wasn't because it's going to come up again uh there was no motions made on but uh we can make some notes that that was [Music] discussed can you uh put that in there

sign those car you have the treasures Janu 2025 financial report but we need to acknowledge we got it make a motion we acknowledgement that we received it motion by Michael second second Valar there's any discussion or questions for Treasure being none I'll say I post like Side [Music] Care um some of you I've talked to about it some I hav't the next item here Stanley Road we got a grant if you will uh some time ago we got a grant to uh put a 68 water line down that U and uh the [Music] uh the the U if Grant went way over the bid when the bid come in it went way over so what the whole district has

agreed to do is to pay half of the of it and us to pay half of it and uh that uh amount is $334,800 55 for each the water district and Fiscal Court from our Rural Water line list now is that the 34 each for us and them is that the the difference the 60 something, that's the difference in the grant 60 somethings of difference yeah but we only asking us to pay half of it how many uh is that going service U it's unknown it's going out to a new part where they're going to but for sure it's going to service all of Spencer Lane and anything on Stanley between 231 and Spencer Lane with the water line will be upgraded I'll make a motion to we add it to the list okay motion to add it to the waterline list that means will still be another vote to prove it but we need to put it on the list second second by Michael any discussion what was the a total on that so I can add that total uh $

34,800 55 whose oversight was it to make the bid come in too low for the grant now sudden new one or is it going up to a 6 in going up to 6 in okay yeah and a fire hydr and a fire hydr is part of it no uh time and inflation is what happened uh this when happened over about a threeyear period of time and I brought it up to be approved at the grad rank water ranking meeting uh and it was approved then and and the water district hired an engineer to do the engineering on it and after Grant was approved and through all those costs it just came over that much and by the way that's really typical any type of construction projects that's going on now they're typically running over and it's basically Ally That's rate of inflation so I say I post like sign [Music] carries ad you got something you want [Music] Surplus thank you all I'll be real

quick uh as you know that we filled a grand out we got got new weapons uh so we have these excess weapons that we have on at the office now and so the the project behind this was to get uniforming across the board troubl shooting uh what we had we had uh Glocks that shot 9 mm and we had that Glocks shot 45 caliber so this became a problem going the range how much ammunition to order so this grant we got the same weapon every Deputy every bayth every school resource officer will carry the same exact weapon uh for uniforming uh I think in the long run it's going to help us out a lot plus the best part is they were free they didn't cost us a dime so uh that's the best part I like about it however what I would like to do is ask the court to Surplus the pistols that the deputies have now for the opportunity them to BR back the ones they've carried for so many years we have a total of 28 pistols I think 14 or 9 mm and 14 or 45 calibers I'm not sure that each deput is going to purchase the weapon which they carry however i' like to give them that opportunity if they don't then then we give the members of the courts count employes that opportunity to purchase the weapons and

then we kind of go from there I've contacted gns pawn shop they said they would be more than happy to help us make that gun transfer for audit purposes in case anybody has any questions it's a non-biased uh person that will you know say hey they've done it the right thing everything checked out great and so U if if the court would I'd like to to sell those sell those business okay after after motion comes through I I'll put me on the list for one of the night there you go so I'm open for any questions that you guys may and gals may have we need motion to allow Adams to Surplus on his first St so I'll make that motion or second okay motion by Larry Mor you second take the bullet so y'all are in prettyy good shape with all your equipment now aren't you other than maybe needing a vehicle or yeah I mean we're getting there it's uh it seems like when it rains it pours we had some uh issues come up but I mean as far as equipment wise I think we're pretty good the vehicle's coming we' got you know we got last time right right yeah but that that's that's fantastic um any more questions for the sheriff B say I post like side take care since you up here Adam you have anything
