Meeting of July 14, 2026

Call this meeting of Ohio County Fiscal Court to order on this 14th day of June July 2026 at 5:00 p.m. I want to ask brother Leland Gary if you will to lead us in a prayer and a pledge to flag. — Thank you, Judge. Let's pray. Gracious Father in heaven, we come in honor today to stand with this court with these people that are gathered here today. We thank you, Lord, first of all for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We thank you for this great nation which we live in. We thank you for Ohio County for those, Lord, who endeavor this day to make things in life here in this county better and more intriguing for those of us that live here, abide here, appreciate this county. I thank you, God, for those that sit up on the courts today. God, we know that these got their districts and the places and all the people they watch over, but Lord, I pray that you watch over them. May everything that we do here today be accomplished, Lord, first of all for your glory. We pray, God, today that will enhance the lives of those around us, our children, our grandchildren, our neighbors and friends, Lord, our churches and businesses. May we all, Lord, look above and thank you, God, today we live in a place that we can still meet like this, oh God. We ask you, Lord, today to bless our lives with health and strength. May we be found in your favor in all things.

Once again, we ask your blessings on those that were with us today. Keep us, we pray, and we'll give you the praise for it all. In the name of your son, Jesus, we pray. Amen. But, uh he's home taking care of uh a new baby named Colt uh who weighs 7 lb and 14 oz and 21 in long. And so, um he he needs to take care of that situation tonight and he'll be here at the next court meeting. But, everybody that sees uh Bo congratulate him. purchasing the the busi- get buying into the business. Uh it's for 60 months, 4% a $50,000 loan. The collaterals I was looking at is all the equipment and furniture in the business. Furniture, fixtures, inventory, accounts, and Elswick business property. to do a budget amendment to for the carryovers in the budget. For example, discretionary funds and things like that. The carryover, we have to do a budget amendment to to make that work.
