Meeting of December 16, 2025

call this meeting. Oh, I came fiscal court to order. Uh on this 16th day of de December 2025 at 5:00 p.m. I'm going to ask uh Jared Gunter from the Beaver Dam Church of Christ come forward and uh lead us in a prayer and a pledge to the United States flag. Let's bow. Our great God and father in heaven, we thank you so much for all that you are and all that you do for us each and every day. We are so blessed to live in this land, to be citizens of this county, and we pray your continued blessings on us as we live here. We enjoy such peace and tranquility in this area, and we pray that it would only continue. We pray that you be with all of our leaders of our represented areas here and that you would bless them with wisdom in how they operate as a government that they would function with with continued peace and with uh clear heads and and hearts and making the best decisions for our community. We pray that above all else, your truth would reign supreme and that any opinions or any uh any platforms that would go

against your will would be cast down and that that your will would always be done. We thank you so much for Jesus. We thank you for the hope that we can have through him and we pray that we would seek your will always in everything that we do. We pray that you bless the goingings of this meeting and that all could be be done peace peacefully and in order. And it's in the name of Jesus that we pray. Uh now I'm going to call on Dennis Cook. He's the chairman of the Bill Monroe Foundation. He's going to give us a report on the uh festival that happened last September. This past September. I put a copy up there in front of each one of you so you could see it. This kind of a complete breakdown. U I will say we had attendant this year from 26 states and seven countries. And sponsorships from 24 was 15,164. For 25 was 24,170 at the 38% increase. Ticket sales for 24 was 30,389. For 25 was 36,351. At the 18% increase. Attendance for 2024 was 720. For 25 it was$1,438. We lost $32,000. $688 in 24 and in 25 we made $12,372 for a $45,000 turnaround. Um there was a bigger crowd. We had twice as many people camping and I know they came and and went to restaurants around

town, shopped and uh so I stayed in hotels. So, I think it was a big improvement for what we've been having. And we're already working on this next year. If we have the new flyers, if anybody wants them, it will be September 10th through the 13th. Anybody have any questions? I'll try to answer them. Well, we're definitely going the right way. — Yes. And uh uh and these were the tickets that were sold. that didn't count all of our workers and all the people that was there from Mohigh County Day and all that. — And we the the money is not as big an increase as the attendance is because we cut ticket prices this year and we let them camp for free trying to get people to come in and I think we made a big step in the right direction on that. So — I certainly do too Dennis because I was there from bail to bail on it. Me too. Before the bail, — do you know what your attendance was on the free from the Ohio? Did you know that? — We had uh — that was the biggest day. I don't know about how many Ohio County people we

had. — See me like it was 150 from Ohio County on on Thursday that came in free. Thursday was our big day. That was also because Ronda Vincent was there that day, too. So, but we we thank you and we'll we'll do again, — right? Thank you. — Thank you, Dennis. — Okay, this is some of the some good news right here on this next one. This resol we need a resolution on it and all of you guys sign it. — U this has got to be a $100,000 project. Exactly. We can't get more. And and we match 20 of we get 80,000 and we do 20 of it with our work and we put in a bridge. He'd been looking forever to find one. And he finally did. And what's the name of that road? — Robby Lane. — Robby Lane. It's a huge tile, but still huge tiles cost that amount of money. And uh anyway, she got the final thing application from Nick this morning. sent it in and they sent us our contracts today and that never ever happened
