Meeting of January 14, 2025

[Music] call this meeting Ohio K Fiscal Court order on this 14th day of January 2025 at 5:00 p.m. I'm going to ask Jimmy cantrail um to U lead us in a prayer and a pledge if you will Heavenly Father we thank you dear Lord just for this evening this opportunity to be out here dear Lord to be doing things that are within your will dear Lord we pray for our community we pray for our state we pray for our nation we pray for our leaders dear Lord that they can and will have you within their sights as they make decisions dear Lord we just thank you for everything that you've done for us dear Lord we pray that the wisdom be given that you would have the proper decisions made by this board here tonight dear Lord thank you for them thank you for the sacrifices they make and the families make so that they can do for this community what needs to be done de Lord we thank you for it all first it's in

Jesus name and we pray amen and the pledge IED algi to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for [Applause] all um I've got something I'm going to read before we get into the business [Applause] here is uh many of you know we lost a former magistrate and a former worker in and uh uh my office and uh Bill Burton and I just want to read a little thought about him here if I can it's it's personal to me but uh uh I hope it it's a little bit of a tribute to him and he service to our County which was for many many years bill and I have been friends for many years first when he ran the weekly

uh show here at the community center called the down home operate it was ever every Saturday night here in this very room when I went to work at the park 1982 bill was eager to help me there he played and helped promote a series of Bluegrass festivals as well as many other shows at the park he served on the water board for many years where he was very proactive in getting water to the folks in the county when Bill became mistri he was the greatest supporter of parks of any m before or after he worked with and supported me always he came by about every weekend to park and used the trails campgrounds and other facilities at the park regularly Bill initiated efforts to acquire and develop our High Hill Nature park down on Green River when I became judge executive I was lucky enough for Bill to come to work with me here his knowledge of County government and the people in oh high County was very helpful we accomplished so much those first few years uh and uh I'm just a little bit on the lighter note he did say we was doing a lot of

things back then he did say that if somebody requested something if the answer was yes I called him if the answer was no I had him call but anyway uh that I just wanted to read that to you I read that at his funeral as well uh before you you had have the minutes of the December 17th meeting we need a motion to [Applause] appr I'll make a motion to approve motion by Jason second second by Michael is there any discussion Corrections or additions any discussion Corrections or additions being none on fav say I post like sign the minutes are approved before you have before you have the bills claims payments and transfers we need a motion to [Applause] approve okay motion by Michael second by David um any discussion or questions on bills claim payments and transfer do we have any

to it's been it's been a month and I've had a rough cuple you remind me what that that is that's amending in the final balance of Aram money so I can get it over to the arch fund okay that does that mean second yeah I'll second it just want to make sure okay um uh any discussion a roll call mirand Johnston yes b b sorry yes morphew yes mckenny yes Bullock yes Bennett yes ordinance is passed um I thought we' done these next two but I guess we haven't the the sheriff and the clerk are on um calendar years for their salaries and that sort of thing instead of U instead of on FIS year so we need to go ahead and uh uh and proove his annual order setting the salaries
